Solar Output - I think something is wrong with my panels

"Poor Solar Output" Troubleshooting

If you think there's something wrong with your solar panel output, there are a couple of easy troubleshooting steps you can do:

  1. Go to the home screen on your MPPT and look for what status your batteries are in (screenshot below)
  2. If the battery status is "Float" they are full. When in Float, very little power will come from the panels, so as not to overcharge the batteries.
  3. Additionally, you can cycle power from the charge controller to see it go into bulk mode temporarily and then see it goes back into "float" status, indicating your batteries are full and operating as expected.
